Replaced GE blue label GSWF with GE purple label GSWF. Purple label GSWF hole is narrower and will not allow water to flow.

i notice a significant water pressure loss at the refrigerators water spout. this has been getting worse over time. Although at times, i can get a new GSWF filter that seems to work fine, ie. no flow or pressure drop problems. The problem seems to lie in the filter. There is no build up if the refrigerators tubing/routing. This problem has been getting worse and i attribute it to the manufacturing process.

Debating b/w buying an off brand and this one. I don't know about the off brand, but didn't want to risk leaking or poor filtering. This one did not disappoint. Installed quickly and works perfectly.

We seldom use our fridge ice, only filter use, but all the more reason to have a quality filter. We have been using these filters for 16 years without any issues.

I have been buying these filters for years, sticking with the GE brand name part. This time the filter sent was defective, causing water to leak and the refrigerator to make noise. GE jerked me around when I called, they had a repair man visit who confirmed what I knew - the filter was defective, He didn't have a filter on the truck, so back to the phone to process the defective replacement. What a hassle. Need better quality on the parts.

The shoulders inside the filter are shorter than earlier iterations. The latest filter won't fully actuate the water valve. I added some o-rings to make up the difference and got it to work. The latest are labeled GSWF but have MSWF in the description.
